Ride Around the Entire Mountain on an Epic E-MTB Adventure

Cycle all the way around Mount Daisen, a spectacular national park, on an electric-assist mountain bike (E-MTB).

  • ¥30,000 per person (lunch included)
  • Duration: Approx. 8.5 hours

Cycle all the way around Mount Daisen, a spectacular national park, on an electric-assist mountain bike (E-MTB).

Because Mt. Daisen is a stand-alone volcanic peak, it’s possible to ride a full loop around the entire mountain — a unique cycling experience rarely found elsewhere in Japan.
As you circle the mountain, the scenery changes dramatically in every direction.
Enjoy breathtaking viewpoints, ride through tunnels of lush greenery, and take in views of the distant coastline while experiencing the landscape with all five senses.

*If any trouble occurs or if you feel unwell during the ride, a support vehicle will pick you up, so you can ride with peace of mind.

貸切プラン

This tour is a private plan.
You can enjoy it at your own pace without worrying about others.

For Riders Who Want a Challenge

This tour is ideal for those who enjoy a slightly more adventurous cycling experience.

  • Distance: approx. 65 km
  • Total elevation gain: approx. 2,000 m

The route is the same course used in the famous Tour de Daisen cycling event, making it a rewarding and challenging ride.
But don’t worry — the powerful electric assist of the E-MTB will support you along the way, helping you climb even steep sections comfortably.

Tour Highlights

POINT
E-MTB

Effortlessly Explore Nature on an E-MTB

The tour uses Miyata Ridge-Runner E-MTBs, designed for powerful assistance and stability.
Even steep climbs become manageable thanks to the strong electric support, and the wide tires provide excellent balance and control.
This allows riders to focus on what matters most — enjoying the incredible scenery of Mt. Daisen.

大山

Discover the Many Faces of Mt. Daisen

Mt. Daisen is often called “Hōki Fuji”, named after the historic region of Hōki.
From the west, the mountain resembles the graceful shape of Mt. Fuji, which is how it earned the nickname.
However, from other directions, Mt. Daisen reveals completely different personalities —
from rugged rocky cliffs to a sacred mountain once believed to be a gathering place for spirits.
By riding all the way around the mountain, you will experience these dramatic changes in landscape and character.

Experience Nature with All Five Senses

The greatest appeal of a cycling tour is the ability to experience nature fully and directly.
Traveling by car is fast but easy to miss details, while walking limits how far you can go.
Cycling offers the perfect balance — covering distance while staying deeply connected to the environment.
With the electric assist, climbs feel smooth and enjoyable, providing just the right amount of exercise and a satisfying sense of accomplishment.

坂道

Spectacular Scenery Everywhere You Look

Ride through green forest tunnels, admire the distant coastline, and enjoy long scenic descents.
Every moment of the ride offers a beautiful view, making the journey both refreshing and inspiring for body and mind.

ランチ

A Delicious Lunch from the Mountain and River

After an exciting ride, enjoy a special lunch made with local ingredients.
You will taste Iwana (char), a freshwater fish raised in the pure spring water of Mt. Daisen.

The meal may include:

  • Salt-grilled char
  • Sweet simmered char
  • Fresh sashimi

It’s the perfect way to recharge while enjoying the flavors of the mountain.

POINT
わさび

Freshly Grated Local Wasabi

The restaurant is also known for its locally grown wasabi, thanks to the region’s clean mountain water.
You will grate the wasabi yourself and enjoy it with your meal — a simple but unforgettable culinary experience.

* If the restaurant is closed on the tour date, an alternative meal will be provided.
If you are not comfortable with fish dishes, please let us know when booking.
